The greatest message in the world deserves the chance to be heard in creative and compelling ways. It is not okay for church to be boring! You can expect our services to include an upbeat and contemporary style of music, multi-media, and a challenging message from God’s Word.

Transition Update

This is an extremely exciting time for Compass Church. During a very weird and difficult year; God has shown his favor to us. I genuinely believe we have a divine plan to provide growth for our future. Compass Church is here to point people to a full life in Christ and I feel strongly that we are one step closer to fulfilling that purpose!

Here are some dates and info you need to know concerning our upcoming transition. This is how you can help if you would like to participate with the moving process.

Important Dates

October 25 Open House and Trunk R’ Treat: Starting 6 p.m. at our new location (8127 NW Expressway at Council Crossing NW corner)

Sundays in November (1 - 29): Host or participate in a home group; watch the online service (see below)
November Open prayer on Mondays and Tuesdays: (November 2 - 24) Open prayer in our current sanctuary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (see below)

November Thursdays and Fridays: (November 5 - 20) Workdays – come to the old or new facility to help with packing, moving, painting, and cleaning. (see below)
New opportunities

Sunday Home groups: Are you willing to help us by inviting your friends and family to your Sunday morning home group? The hope is that many of our Compass Church family would take this opportunity to invite someone, not to a service in a building, but to our online service. It will be different, it will be fun, and it will be a great opportunity for everyone to gather around your device, smart tv etc. to participate in this interactive service. Start a group or join one for Sunday’s in November.

Compass Kids: Since we are focusing on our online service during our transition, we will not have any kids church or childcare during the month of November. We hope that you will join other families with children, to fellowship and watch the service together. Prompts and information will be given to help your kids have a unique and fun online church experience.

Prayer time: During this time of transition, we need to be praying and if you want to come to the old building we are having open prayer in the sanctuary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays during November.

General Help: On Thursday and Fridays in November, except Thanksgiving weekend, come to one of the two buildings and help with our move. We need lots of help to load, unload and complete some light remodeling projects. More specific information will be released each week concerning the tasks we are targeting.

Giving: This move will save us money once we are there but will cost us money to make the move. Right now, we need to raise an additional $40,000 to pay for the remodel and transition. This includes making this space clean and safe as well as getting us new chairs. For those that were considering contributing to our $60,000 first of year initiative – that has been migrated into this idea – 40k by 2021. You can give online at or by texting 84321. Just note this offering as “building” or “project”.

Remember, we are meeting during the month of November at homes. A small studio will be made in the Café for our Sunday morning production. If you come, seating will be limited. The Sunday morning 11 a.m. production will contain everything you need for a full family service experience. Links and information will be given for kid’s services during our pre-service. This 45-minute interactive presentation will have teaching, worship, and a few unexpected surprises. I truly believe you will genuinely enjoy what we have planned for our online church experience during this transition time. We don’t believe it’s a time to just survive – we believe it’s our time to thrive!
